Peter Gasparro

Peter joined Barclays in 2021 as the Chief Development Officer for US Consumer Bank. In this role, he plays a critical role in delivering our partner strategy and leads our efforts to attract new partners. He leads our business and corporate development efforts, as well as our strategy and competitive intelligence teams. His team also manages our non-card P&L businesses: Consumer Loans, Savings and Deposits.

With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, Peter brings a breadth of experience with senior leadership roles in business and corporate development, product development, merchant services, and co-branded credit card management.

Peter returned to Barclays from JPMorgan Chase where he served as Head of Corporate Development for its auto and home lending division. Prior to this, he was the Head of Business Development and Strategy for the bank’s auto business, Group Executive with Chase Merchant Solutions, and Segment Lead for Chase Card Services. Peter also worked at Beneficial National Bank and Barclaycard US for a brief stint, soon after Barclays acquired Juniper.

Peter is a proud alum of Seton Hall University where he earned a master’s degree in corporate communication and a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He lives in New Jersey and enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children.
