Esha Bawa is a financial services executive on a mission to uplift others on their journey to reach their highest potential. Her personal philosophy is to promote happiness, gratitude, and diversity while prioritizing achievement and curiosity.
At Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), she leads a team dedicated to empowering innovation economy companies to scale and grow through tailored solutions in payments, working capital, and strategic financing. Her focus is on fostering trusted partnerships with clients in fast-paced, high-growth sectors, helping them navigate complex challenges and capitalize on global opportunities.
Previously, at American Express, Esha led a global team that acted as trusted advisors to clients on their payments, financing, and procure-to-pay (P2P) process efficiency needs. Her multibillion-dollar portfolio represented companies across all industries, including some of the most respected global brands and partnerships. She held leadership roles across product, account management, and sales with a focus on global clients. Esha’s accomplishments included launching Early Pay, American Express’ supply chain finance and dynamic discounting platform, transforming the B2B product portfolio, driving multi-billion dollar go-to-market strategies, and serving as Chief of Staff to the Head of Global Business Development.
Before joining American Express, Esha served as Director of Client Management at Applico, a mobile innovation consultancy helping clients digitally transform and build platform businesses. She began her career at Dell/EMC, specializing in global pricing strategies.
In addition to her corporate career, Esha is passionate about education and mentorship. These teachings are further enriched by her work as a certified yoga instructor. Further, as an Indian-American immigrant, she connects with her heritage through art, dance, language, and music, which has deepened her understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion. By embracing her own cultural heritage, she’s learned to advocate for more inclusive workplaces. Today, she serves on the Board of SwarDarbar, an organization that fosters Indian Classical Music and train in Kathak dance.
Esha has lived and worked in cities around the globe, including London, Bangalore, Boston, and New York City. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Management from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
